Origami Boxes

Love these made them with a tutorial I found online, just google origami boxes or go to Origami boxes and presto bingo you will find it with no problem. I had to adjust a little for the size of the lid for the box as the lid the way they had me do it was way to loose. I shaved off a 1/2 of an inch on 2 sides to make the paper 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 and this worked out great. I used 12 x 12 Scrapbook (card stock) paper for both pieces.

Pinecone Angels

 Completed Angel
First I cleaned the pinecones, by soaking them is soapy water, I read you could dry them in your oven at a low temp but I didn't really want to do that so I just set them out and let them dry in the house. Note: when you get them wet they close up and look all tight but as they dry they reopen in some cases better than they were before!

I got a as many little wooden balls from the craft store as I had pinecones. I then painted them with
a flesh tone paint and I got rub on faces to make those little adorable faces as seen below.

I then added curly doll hair to the wooden ball. I found cutting the hair into smaller sections makes it easier to work with.

You then glue the ball onto the top of the pinecone where the stem was.
then with a paint brush, paint the tips of the pinecone with glue and then roll in glitter. Although my pictures don't show this well they are very sparkly, warning you end up covered in gltter.

Add a gold loop to the back of the angels neck/head so you have a way to hang it. Then add lace to cover up the the hot glue that fastened the head to the pinecone. Tie a gold ribbon around the neck and add gold star wire in the shape of wings to the back.
Bam a pinecone angel!

20 Years Old Today!!!!! Happy Birthday Girls

I can't believe its here. I became a mom 20 years ago today at 9:56 am & again at 10:04 am! My life changed forever as you became part of it. I never knew you could love someone so much until you made your appearance. Being born a bit early since you were supposed to be born in December and decided you couldn't wait that long. Funny thing is that is how you have always been ready to go and take on new challenges. Looking through pictures of you growing up I am amazed how fast it has all gone!
20  Years ago you were born and changed my life forever! I can't believe how fast the years flew by!

Had to add this picture of you with your oldest friend! If it wasn't for that Nursery at the hospital and all the hours I got to hang out there with you. I would have never met June, Ray & Allison. Our  life wouldn't be the same. Happy Birthday to you to Allie!

Jessica has had big things happen this year, a proposal from her high school sweetheart. Who has been in our lives since she started school her freshman year. Which of course, she said YES! He is off in Texas right now as that is where the Airforce has lead him thus far and today his is Graduating from Tech School.

August 17th, my little girl ran off to Texas to marry her Airman, her first love so that they could get prepared to go where every the airforce takes them. Big things happening as starting to pull my little girls who aren't so little anymore in different directions!  Who knows what adventures are in store for them. She is always mine but now has given herself over to a wonderful man and the Air Force.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I love you both Very MUCH my girls and I hope that today and many more days are wonderful and I can't wait to see you smile over your birthday cupcakes. I have a feeling this may be a year of huge adjustments for all of us. I am so proud and excited for the adventures that lay ahead for both of you! My wish for you is that you always stay centered in the Lord and remember He is in control. Trust him and he will guide you.

No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Simple and Yummy!!!

I doubled the recipe and am going to change it a bit next time I make it.

I wasn't sure by the recipe I read if I was supposed to crush the cornflakes and then measure them or to measure them and then crush them. I think you are supposed to measure and then crush lesson learned. HAHA!

6 cups of Corn Flakes, after measured crush them

1 cup Corn Syrup

2 cups Crunchy Peanut Butter

1 cup Sugar

1 Pound Almond Bark milk chocolate (you can use a bag of chocolate chips if you like)

On low heat melt the Corn Syrup, Peanut Butter and Sugar together.  Once melted together blend in corn flakes before had take a 13x9 inch pan and line it with foil and spray that with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour Corn Flake Mixture into pan and crush it down ( I use a piece of foil with som cooking spray on it so one I don't get all sticky and 2 protects your hands as it is a little warm) After you evenly spread into pan then melt chocolate as directed. Poor that evenly over the bars and let chill. Once chilled they will be ready to cut and eat. Prep time was 15 minutes I think. Super easy and fun! Next time mine will be chewier then this time but the flavor is good just a bit dry.....

Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

These are easy and yummy and I think have become another family favorite! I like to make different things for Football Sunday. It makes my hubby smile and well I just enjoy trying new things although we definitely repeat our favorties! So here you go:

4 cans canned biscuits 10 to a tin (the small ones)
1 bag of pepperoni
1 block of chedder n jack cheese
1 egg beaten
Parmesan cheese (you know the sprinkle kind, green lid)
Garlic Powder
Italian Seasoning

Set oven to 425 degrees. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

Cheese N Pepperoni

Buiscuits - spread them out with my fingers just a little bit from the center.

In the center place a pepperoni, cheese then another peperoni and pinch closed from the sides without breaking what will be the top of the little roll.
I have a vegetarian so I did a few without pepperoni so that she can share in the yummy trial run.

Here they are in the casserole dish which I did spray to non-stick cooking spray. Brush them with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the italian seasoning, parmesean cheese and the garlic powder.

Here they are out of the oven and looking amazing! As a testimony to these as soon as they cooled my hubby ate 8 of them with Pizza Sauce.

These are the ones with the cheesy goodness in them!

I do so hope you enjoy these if you make them we sure did!
